The government announced today that employers participating in the programme "My First Salary 2021" have selected 9,237 young people who will be given the opportunity to gain their first work experience, with young people having the opportunity to undergo training with 5,471 employers.

The programme includes 70 percent of people with high school education, and 30 percent with higher education and a master's degree. More than 60 percent of the total number of young people are women.
The most sought-after occupations for both companies and young people are lawyer, administrative clerk, economist, accountant and salesman.
In the first cycle of the "My First Salary" programme, which began in 2020, 35% of young people signed an employment contract after successfully completing the programme, half of which with the same employer.
This year, the state has ensured that through this programme, which lasts for nine months, young people up to 30 years of age with a high school diploma receive a monthly allowance of RSD 22,000, and highly educated RSD 26,000, as well as contributions for injuries and occupational diseases. This is an increase of 10% compared to last year's cycle.
