Introduction of new software solution of Directorate for Agrarian Payments

Belgrade, 27 October 2021

The Serbian government adopted today the Bill on changes and amendments to the Law on agriculture and rural development, which harmonises this field with the EU acquis and, among other things, introduces eAgrar - a new software solution of the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, which will enable a more efficient keeping of the Farms Register and subsequently a more efficient management of incentive payments in agriculture and rural development.

Due to the great interest of citizens in the public competition for the allocation of non-repayable funds, the amended Decree on the establishment of the Programme of allocation of non-repayable funds for the purchase of a rural house with a garden in the territory of Serbia for 2021 was adopted.

The Serbian government set aside RSD 573,000,000 for the implementation of this programme.

The Decision on the establishment of Gender Equality Day, to be marked on 11 June every year, was also adopted.

On that day in 1842, Prince Mihailo passed a decree allowing the education of women in Serbia.

The government accepted a donation of the Republic of Poland of 200,000 doses of the COVID-19 SPIkEVAX vaccine (formerly “Moderna”).

The government adopted the Conclusion establishing that the development of horse-breeding and equestrian sports is of special importance for the development of this economic activity and tourist potential of the Republic of Serbia, by which the Karadjordjevo Stud Farm has been recognised as a state stud farm of particular importance for the development of this activity.
