Government passes several bills

Belgrade, 29 July 2021

At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Bill ratifying the Framework Agreement between the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Republic of Serbia for a project loan – student housing, which will provide funds for the construction of two new dormitories in Nis and Belgrade, to accommodate 1,400 students.

The government adopted the Bill ratifying the Agreement between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the Russian Federation on the Establishment and Conditions of Activity of Cultural Information Centres.

At today's session, the Bill ratifying the Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer was adopted.

The government also adopted the Decree on determining the RSD 120 million worth Programme for allocating non-refundable funds for the purchase of mini buses for the needs of transporting the rural population in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

The government made a decision to declare the Ovcar-Kablar gorge a landscape of exceptional features.

At the session, a decision was made to pay the athlete Milica Mandic a cash prize in the amount of 70,000 euros (in dinar equivalent) for winning a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in the sport of taekwondo. The same amount went to her coach Dragan Jovic.

Damir Mikec and his coach Goran Mikec will be paid a cash prize of 60,000 euros (in dinar equivalent) for winning a silver medal in the discipline of shooting (air pistol) at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

For winning a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in the sport of taekwondo, Tijana Bogdanovic and her coach Dragan Jovic will be paid a cash prize in the amount of 50,000 euros (in dinars) each.
