The government adopted the Bill amending the Law on Prevention of Doping in Sports, in order to harmonise with the basic principles of the new World Anti-Doping Code and the most important provisions to which these principles apply.
With the new legal solution, Serbia will adopt appropriate measures at the national level in accordance with the principles of the World Anti-Doping Code, which encourage all forms of international cooperation aimed at protecting athletes and ethics in sports, as well as the exchange of research results.
The Draft Law ratifying the Agreement between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine and plant protection was also adopted.
The cabinet also adopted the Bill ratifying the Protocol to Amend the Agreement between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the United States of America on scientific and technological cooperation, which creates a new legal framework for further improvement of overall bilateral relations in all fields of science and technology, protection of intellectual property in an appropriate manner.
The government also adopted the Bill ratifying the Agreement on social security between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of Quebec. This contract comprehensively regulates the exercise of rights from pension and disability insurance, including rights based on work-related injuries and occupational diseases and health insurance.
The ministers adopted the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy for Improving the Position of Persons with Disabilities in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2020 to 2024, in the period from 2021 to 2022.
Also, the Strategy of Public Administration Reform for the period from 2021 to 2030 was adopted, with the Action Plan for its implementation for the period from 2021 to 2025.
This ten-year strategy introduces for the first time an umbrella policy for the provision of services, in order to continue and improve the trend of development of user-oriented services, introduction of standards and raising the quality of their provision to citizens and the economy.
The government has decided to donate 20,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Sarajevo Canton to help citizens fight COVID-19.
Also, at the session, a decision was made to give the Sava Centre in Belgrade the status of a cultural monument, as one of the most successful examples of modern European architecture in the 1970s.
Today, Smiljaniceva Street in Belgrade was declared a spatial, cultural and historical whole by the decision of the government.
