Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that Serbia is currently investing €1 billion in health infrastructure alone.
In a statement for Happy Television, Brnabic pointed out that the new COVID hospital, which opened in Batajnica yesterday, literally saved people's lives, and added that during the pandemic, only China and Russia, aside from Serbia, built new hospitals for coronavirus patients.
The Prime Minister assessed that the fact that two new hospitals were built in four months represents great pride, but also the success of the whole of Serbia and an indicator of how much our country can do.
It is unbelievable that we will come out of the fight against COVID-19 stronger than before it. In the economic sense, our economy will end 2020 with the best results in the whole of Europe, she stated, reminding that before 2012, all other countries of the Western Balkans had higher salaries and higher pensions than us.
According to her, Serbia will come out of the current health crisis with a large number of new laboratories with state-of-the art equipment.
The Prime Minister also said that the state will do everything to procure vaccines as soon as possible, which will be free and underlined that vaccination against coronavirus will not be mandatory, but that the citizens will be urged to do so.
