First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received today Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for Serbia John Kennedy Mosoti.
Dacic assessed that the cooperation with UNFPA so far has been very positive and voiced the expectation that it will continue developing successfully in the future too.
He expressed gratitude to that fund for the help and support provided during the coronavirus pandemic and expressed his belief that the recently adopted UNFPA Programme Document for the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2021 to 2025 will additionally strengthen our partnership.
The First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that improving the demographic situation is one of the main national priorities of Serbia, bearing in mind the demographic challenges we are facing.
The UNFPA Director for Serbia expressed satisfaction with the recent adoption of the Programme Document for Serbia and expressed gratitude for constructive cooperation during its adoption.
