First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić talked on the phone with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Ann Linde.
Dačić assessed that bilateral relations between the two countries are very good and that Serbia is ready for additional improvement in all areas where there is a common interest in cooperation.
He said that Serbia is interested in intensifying dialogue at the highest level, and reiterated his invitation to Minister Linde to visit Serbia as soon as possible.
Linde accepted the invitation to visit Serbia in the coming period, emphasising that the exchange of experiences regarding the OSCE chairmanship would be of special benefit for the Swedish side, bearing in mind that Sweden will chair this organisation in 2021.
Linde pointed out that a successful OSCE chairmanship of Serbia and Minister Dačić during 2015 was the main reason for the realisation of today's telephone conversation.
Dačić expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the Swedish presidency team in detail about all aspects of Serbia's chairmanship of the OSCE and about all the challenges that our side faced in that role.
He informed Linde about the latest developments and progress regarding the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština, with special reference to the agreement reached in Washington.
