Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic met today in Baku with Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov, as well as with Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev.
Stefanovic, who is also secretary of the National Security Council of the Republic of Serbia, talked with his interlocutors about the current cooperation between the two countries and the possibilities of its improvement in various areas, including in the field of security.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached that there are strong and friendly relations between the presidents of the two countries, Aleksandar Vucic and Ilham Aliyev, as well as great potential for the future development of cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan.
Also, satisfaction was expressed with the close cooperation of the two countries within international organisations, with special emphasis on the importance of supporting the principles of territorial integrity of states.
