Serbia, as a country in the process of negotiations for membership in the European Union, used the opportunity to apply for support from the European Union Solidarity Fund.
The working group, formed by the government of Serbia, prepared a comprehensive report in which it explained the course and dynamics of the health crisis due to the COVID-19 epidemic and the measures taken to prevent it.
After the deadline for all countries that applied for submission of applications – 24 June, the European Union will make a decision on the amount of non-refundable aid to Serbia, and after that a financial agreement will be signed and funds will be paid by the end of the year.
