First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic paid a one-day visit to Greece today, during which he talked with Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias.
On that occasion, all important issues in the field of bilateral cooperation were discussed, as well as current topics in terms of overcoming the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I am very glad to be visiting my dear friend and the friendly country of Greece today. With this visit, we showed how much friendship we cultivate, said Dacic.
He expressed satisfaction with the cooperation during this crisis, as well as the desire to normalise life in all segments as soon as possible, starting with the establishment of political contacts, the normalisation of economies and the start of businesses.
What citizens are most interested in is when they will be able to travel.
I conveyed our decision that the citizens of Greece can travel to Serbia without any restrictions, without tests and the need to be in quarantine. Minister Dendias confirmed to me that from 15 June, the citizens of Serbia can come to Greece without tests and other restrictive measures, Dacic said.
He said that he sent a request to his colleague to represent our views in Brussels that this measure should also be applied in accordance with the EC recommendations, so that from 1 July, Serbian citizens can travel to EU member states without restrictions.
According to him, bilateral cooperation and political interests were discussed today, as well as mutual support when it comes to territorial integrity and sovereignty.
