Action Plan of Strategy for Development of Artificial Intelligence adopted

At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Packaging Waste Reduction Plan for the period 2020-2024, which determines the national objectives of packaging waste management related to their collection, reuse and recycling.

Funds in the amount of RSD 2,600,000,000 are planned for these purposes in 2020.

The cabinet adopted the Action Plan of the Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2020-2022, which includes projects to support the development of artificial intelligence with new programmrs in the fields of education, economy, science and public administration.

The implementation of the Strategy has already begun with the programme for scientific projects in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as the implementation of software that uses artificial intelligence in public administration.

As part of the further process of public administration reform, the Programme for the Development of Electronic Administration in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2020-2022 was adopted. The programme plans public policy measures that will have a significant impact on the work of public administration, as a more efficient and transparent service for citizens and businesses.

The government has adopted a decision to declare the "Prerast Tunnel Cave in the Zamna Canyon" a natural monument, as a geomorphological phenomenon that has exceptional tourist significance for eastern Serbia.
