First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received today Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo, who informed him about the efforts the Chinese leadership is making to suppress the coronavirus outbreak.
Chen said that the epidemic is showing signs of decline in recent days, with fewer and fewer newly-registered cases in the whole of China, including the province of Hubei.
She delivered the letters of gratitude from Premier of China Li Keqiang and State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi to Dacic for his messages of solidarity and support to China. The Chinese Ambassador also delivered the greeting card on the occasion of Serbia’s Statehood Day.
Dacic underlined that Serbia is convinced that China, with an immense dedication of its leadership and people, will soon manage to overcome that challenge and that the current measures will not have a negative impact on the further economic growth of the country.
Although a small state, Serbia extends moral support to the friendly China, and the organisation of sending humanitarian aid is underway, in line with our abilities, the Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs stated.
