Serbian government adopts media strategy

The Serbian government adopted today an updated text of the National Plan for the Reduction of the Main Pollutant Emissions from Old Large Combustion Plants (NERP).

With this plan, Serbia commits itself to making significant steps to reduce pollutant emissions from large thermal power stations.

The aim of the plan is to harmonise the emissions from the old large combustion plants with the limits set out in the Industrial Emissions Directive by 31 December 2027.

The government also adopted the Strategy for the Development of Public Information System in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2020-2025.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic expressed her gratitude to the European Union, OSCE, Norwegian Embassy and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation - government partners who worked on the drafting of this document. The Working Group will continue to work on the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy.

The government adopted the amended Regulation on Incentives to Investors to Produce Audiovisual Work in the Republic of Serbia, which postpones the beginning of its implementation from 1 February to 1 May 2020.

The government appointed Viktor Kis from the Faculty of Applied Arts – Department of Ceramics as Acting Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art and Jugoslav Pantelic as Director of the Yugoslav Film Archive Museum.
