First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolaos Dendias in Athens today as part of the official visit of President of the Republic of Aleksandar Vucic to the country.
In a cordial conversation, the two sides highlighted the long-standing excellent and close relations between the two countries and peoples and assessed that today's, third session of the Cooperation Council of Serbia and Greece is an important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Dacic and Dendias expressed their desire to expand cooperation in many areas: economy, energy, tourism, culture and education.
They also discussed topical issues at the international and regional level, as well as process of Serbia's European integration.
Dacic expressed gratitude to Dendias for Greece's principled support regarding the issue of Kosovo-Metohija.
Also during today's meeting, the two ministers discussed establishing "a new trilateral form of Greece-Cyprus-Serbia," according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
