First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic today met with Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country, during an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meetings, bilateral relations were affirmed on both sides and they expressed their readiness to further improve cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, sport and culture.
In this context, it was agreed to start negotiations on agreements in areas of common interest.
The interlocutors agreed that activities on facilitating the visa process for traveling by citizens of the two countries should also be started.
Also, Dacic invited the Foreign Minister of Bahrain for a return visit to Serbia.
Upon completion of the talks, the two ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the diplomatic academies of the two foreign ministries, marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
