Kostunica congratulates Serbia-Montenegro’s U18 basketball team on European title

Belgrade, 25 July 2005

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica congratulated today the Serbia-Montenegrin under-18 (U18) men’s national basketball team on winning the gold medal at the U18 European Basketball Championship.

In his letter of congratulations, Kostunica said the juniors showed exceptional team spirit, willpower, and courage, granting the whole nation the feeling of joy and admiration.

“Your generation, a generation of European champions, will inevitably in the future win numerous awards in big sporting competitions and bring joy to us many more times.

“On behalf of the Serbian government and on my personal behalf, I congratulate you on your exceptional success, achieved at the beginning of your successful sport career,” reads Kostunica’s letter.
