First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic organised last night a working dinner with the new Director-General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), Qu Dongyu, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

Dacic congratulated Dongyu on his appointment and emphasised the good cooperation of Serbia with the FAO as one of the most important specialised organizations in the UN system.
He expressed confidence that during the four-year term, Serbia-FAO cooperation will be further enhanced.
The FAO Director General thanked Dacic for his hospitality and expressed his particular satisfaction with the fact that he is the first FAO Director General to visit Serbia.
He agreed that Serbia and the FAO have had many years of successful cooperation and expressed readiness as FAO Director to contribute to its intensification and expansion into new areas, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
