First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that Serbia has traditionally fostered very good and friendly relations with countries of the African continent and assessed that there is room for enhanced cooperation in several areas.

Dacic said in a speech at the conference “Continental Opportunities in Trade and Investment Cooperation between Africa and the Balkans - Serbia as a Case Study”, that the volume of trade between Serbia and African countries amounts to just under $200 million annually.
We are also ready to improve cooperation in the field of energy, and I also believe that there is potential for connecting small and medium-sized enterprises from our countries and regions. We are particularly interested in re-engaging our construction companies and operatives in this sector, and when I talk about it I refer especially to the countries of northern Africa, but also to sub-Saharan Africa, Dacic underlined.
