First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic expressed condolences to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe Simbarashe S. Mumbengegwi on the occasion of the death of former President of that country Robert Mugabe.
"There are very few people who have the strength to devote their lives to building the political and economic order of their state, while at the same time strongly understanding and supporting Pan-Africanism and African independence.
Often, the leaders who carry the idea of progress can cause controversy, but no one can challenge that revolutionary Mugabe was bearer of the idea of freedom and equality of his nation, as well as the idea of comprehensive cooperation on the African continent.
Serbia remembers and will remember Mugabe as a great friend of both Yugoslavia and Serbia, who sincerely supported our country in the most difficult days," reads the letter of condolences of Dacic.
