First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic signed today at the residence of the Ambassador of Tunisia in Belgrade the book of mourning opened on the death of President Beji Caid Essebsi.

"The Republic of Serbia and its citizens sincerely regret the departure of the great statesman and friend of our country, President Beji Caid Essebsi.
His contribution to building a modern Tunisia since independence in 1956 is immeasurable, as well as his commitment to building a democratic and prosperous society.
On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to the leadership and people of the Republic of Tunisia," Dacic wrote.
