"The Republic of Serbia and its citizens sincerely regret the departure of the great statesman and friend of our country, President Beji Caid Essebsi.
His contribution to building a modern Tunisia since independence in 1956 is immeasurable, as well as his commitment to building a democratic and prosperous society.
On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to the leadership and people of the Republic of Tunisia," Dacic wrote.
