First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic today received Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia Ambassador Sam Fabrizi.
The officials discussed the current state of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the European Union in Serbia's EU accession process, as well as activities in the forthcoming period.
Particular emphasis was put on the negotiating Chapter 31 – Foreign, Security and Defence Policy.
The dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and further steps for its continuation were discussed after the necessary conditions were met.
Dacic reiterated that full EU membership is Serbia's foreign policy priority.
He pointed out that Serbia is committed to intensive cooperation in the field of foreign and security policy with the EU, and that in the period prior to accession, our country will continue to gradually align its foreign policy with EU positions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
