Serbia can be winner of new industrial era

Prime Minister Ana Branbic presented at the WORLD.MINDS conference today a successful Serbian companies in the field of science and technology, and estimated that Serbia can be a winner in the new industrial era.

Brnabic, who was presented by WORLD.MINDS Rolf Dobelli as one of the most influential women according to Forbes, pointed out that our scientific institutions are what she considers to be Serbia.

The Prime Minister estimated that we live in exciting times before the fourth industrial revolution, and added that she believes that Serbia can be the winner in it.

I always thought that my government's goal was to start transforming Serbia from the economy led by investments and work in the innovation-led economy, she said.

She expressed gratitude to Dobelli for believing in Serbia and our institutions and what is the first time, after 12 years to hold the meeting outside Switzerland.

Brnabic said that successful Serbian companies were united through the "Serbia Creates" platform, saying that this represented a new initiative of our country.

Serbia has previously been more traditional in this way, but it is more than that. Hence, the new platform "Serbia Creates", which shows the scientific and artistic creative part, pointed out Brnabic during a conversation with the host of a meeting that asked her how to keep young educated people in Serbia.

In a response, she sent a call to Serbian science clubs to come to a conference in December to discuss how they can help us, stating that this was discussed at a conference held last year.

It is all right for people to leave the country, but only if they return. We cannot stop them. We invest money in science and technology funds. In April, Serbia became a full member of CERN. We have among the founders some of the best startup companies of the people who were abroad, but they came back here and we are grateful for that, she added.
