Political dialogue of Serbia, UK to be intensified

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic spoke today with Director General for Political Affairs at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Richard Moore.
The two officials stated that the bilateral relations of Serbia and the United Kingdom are good and stable and that it is in the common interest to intensify political dialogue and cooperation in all areas of mutual importance.
Dacic said that it is very good that the United Kingdom, despite Brexit, supports the European integration process of Serbia and that the Western Balkans Summit will be held in London in July 2018.
Dacic and Moore also exchanged opinions regarding the situation in the region and the importance of the contribution of the Republic of Serbia to preserving peace and stability.
In that context Dacic expressed Serbia’s readiness to continue to invest efforts in the search of a lasting, compromise and balanced solution in the dialogue with Pristina, which will contribute to the stability of the whole region and thus of Europe in its entirety, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
