First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, who is in Belgrade at the trilateral meeting of Serbia, Hungary and Bulgaria in the field of energy.

The meeting of two foreign ministers confirmed the high level of bilateral relations between Serbia and Hungary.
Dacic and Szijjarto estimated that the overall cooperation between the two countries is continually improving, and that the realization of energy stability and better infrastructure connections are some of the priorities in the upcoming period.
Szijjarto expressed satisfaction with the status of the Hungarian national minority in Serbia.
The officials exchanged views on current regional and international topics, with particular reference to the effects that migration flows may have on the region.
After the meeting, Dacic presented a football jersey of Serbia's national team to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary.
Szijjarto expressed gratitude for the gift, and said he will be cheering for the national team of Serbia at the upcoming World Cup in Russia, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
