Cooperation with UAE on construction of river ports

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and President of the Dubai Port World sultan Ahmed Bin Sulai signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on development projects of river ports between the government of Serbia and those companies from UAE.
Mihajlovic said at a press conference held at the Press Council of the Government of Serbia that after 40 years the state will begin to invest in the construction of river ports, and that investments are worth more than €200 million.
She pointed out that this company from the United Arab Emirates could start building a new port in Serbia next year, and that a feasibility study will show whether their investment will be in Novi Sad, Smederevo or Belgrade.
