Dacic extends condolences over shooting in Santa Fe

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic sent a telegram of condolences to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on the occasion of the lost young lives in the shooting in Santa Fe, Texas.

"I was deeply saddened by the news of the death of young people who were killed in the shooting at a high school in Santa Fe.
I take the opportunity to express to you and the people of the United States of America, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and in my personal name, the expressions of deepest sympathy, as well as the sincere sympathy with families who have lost their most loved, as well as fast and successful recovery to those injured.
Unfortunately, the losses of young lives remind us once again that we have to devote attention and care to young people, as a state, as well as individuals, because they are those who will inherit us and to whom we will leave our societies and countries.
We must work together to protect the young and give them a more secure future” reads the telegram of condolences.
