During the lecture, which was broadcast live via video link, Dacic informed many distinguished representatives of Indian and foreign diplomatic, academic and intellectual circles about the current development in the Western Balkans region and regional cooperation, the process of Serbia's accession to the EU and the situation in Kosovo-Metohija.
In the year when the 70th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations with India is being observed, he referred to the long tradition of friendly relations between the two countries, which has its roots in the establishment of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The friendly relations, he said, had begun even before their official establishment, with the visit of the great Indian thinker Rabindranath Tagore, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, to Belgrade in 1926.
