Readiness to improve cooperation with Palestine

Belgrade, 24 April 2018

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic spoke today with Assistant Minister for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine Amal Jadou, who is leading this country’s delegation at the talks at the first session of bilateral political consultation of the two ministries.

Dacic expressed his gratitude for the support of Palestine on the issue of Kosovo-Metohija, and stressed Serbia's willingness to further develop relations of traditional friendship and cooperation with Palestine in all areas of mutual interest, including the continuation of cooperation in the field of education through the already established practice of granting scholarships for Palestinian students to universities of Serbia.

He also thanked Jadou on exhaustive information on the latest developments in the Middle East and informed her about current activities of Serbia in the dialogue with Pristina and Brussels regarding Kosovo-Metohija.
