First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic assessed today in Lisbon, after the meeting with Foreign Minister of Portugal Augusto Santos Silva that relations with this country are of exceptional importance for our country.
Dacic expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal for the firm support that this country provides to us when European integrations are concerned.
According to him, 136 years of diplomatic relations are a great capital and therefore we want to work on further improvement of bilateral relations.
Our country seeks to promote economic cooperation with Portugal, given that the foreign trade exchange amounted to €50 million last year, which can be much better.
Dacic said that our country wants as much communication, consultation and coordination as possible in resolving political, regional and global issues, as well as to support each other internationally.
