Relations of Serbia, Azerbaijan based on strategic partnership

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic held a bilateral meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov today on the sidelines of the 18th Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Baku.
Dacic and Mammadyarov pointed to very good bilateral cooperation in the field of politics and the economy.
Mamadyarov stressed the importance of respecting the principles of international law and territorial integrity, emphasising the identical positions on these issues of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Dacic underlined the importance of the upcoming visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Azerbaijan, which will further encourage the improvement of overall bilateral co-operation and mutual support.
At today's meeting, it was jointly assessed that friendly relations between the two countries, based on a strategic partnership, encourage mutual support on the wider international scene, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
