Serbia, Bulgaria sign rail, water transport memoranda

Belgrade/Sofia, 23 February 2018

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic signed today in Sofia two memoranda on cooperation of Serbia and Bulgaria, aimed at better linking оf the two countries in rail and water transport.

The documents signed are the Memorandum of understanding on improving the efficiency of rail transport and the Memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the development of port infrastructure on the Danube necessary for the transhipment, storage and distribution of liquid natural gas.

Mihajlovic stressed that Serbia has an active approach towards all neighbours in promoting infrastructure connections and removal of non-physical barriers, contributing to the accelerated development and stability of the region.
