First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic spoke with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell about finding common interests of the two countries for stability, peace and the future of the entire region and solving open issues.

Dacic said last night that the meeting was held as part of preparations for a meeting with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, adding that it is important to have a good will to reach a lasting solution to the problems that exist in Kosovo-Metohija.
He said that he thinks that the current administration shows more understanding for Serbian attitudes regarding the problems in the region, adding that Serbia demands its arguments and proposals to be heard on how to reach the best solutions in the interest of all in the region.
The First Deputy Prime Minister expressed the hope that today's meeting with Tillerson will be successful, and it is certainly of great importance for our relations.
