Mihajlovic expressed his gratitude to Scannapieco for good cooperation with the EIB on important infrastructure projects that Serbia is implementing, primarily in the field of road and railway infrasture.
She stated that the Serbian government and the EIB will continue to work on the partnership and on the completion of ongoing projects, as well as on new projects, among which the "Peace Road" of Nis-Merdare-Pristina is especially important.
The contracts we sign today for the project of modernisation and reconstruction of the Nis-Dimitrovgrad railroad for Serbia are of great importance, because this means the continuation of the modernization of the strategically important Corridor 10 and a better connection with the region and Europe, Mihajlovic explained.
According to Mihajlovic, regional integration is another proof of Serbia's commitment to the preservation of peace and stability in the region and is an objective that the government remains committed to.
Scannapieco reported that the EIB was satisfied with the dynamics of withdrawal of the loan, and stressed that this institution is focused on supporting projects that contribute to increasing Serbia's competitiveness.
