Agreement with Kyrgyzstan on visa abolishment signed

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Abdyldaev Erlan signed today in Belgrade an agreement on the abolition of visas for citizens of the two countries.

At a joint press conference, Dacic announced a visit to Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of the establishment of diplomatic activities between the two countries, expressing his gratitude to his guest that his country respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

He also conveyed his gratitude on the support of Kyrgyzstan to Serbia in international organizations such as UNESCO, where that country voted against the admission of self-proclaimed Kosovo into full membership.

Dacic expressed his conviction that the two countries could improve economic cooperation, reminding that last year's trade exchange amounted to about $ 15 million.

Dacic added that Serbia will support the candidacy of Kyrgyzstan as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan assessed that the talks with Dacic were very constructive and that they took place in a friendly atmosphere.

He reiterated support for Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, stating that this represents the highest value that the leaders have to protect.
