Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic spoke today in Budapest with Hungarian Minister of the Interior Sandar Pinter about cooperation in the fight against high-level corruption, organised crime, illegal migration and terrorism.
Stefanovic said that the topics of the meeting were measures for a more efficient fight against illegal migration and preventing the possibility that certain individuals, who may be radicalised extremists or criminals, enter the country in the migratory wave.
He added that he and Pinter discussed what the Serbian and Hungarian police can do jointly to stop such individuals and ensure the maximum security of the citizens of the two countries.
They also agreed on concrete measures that the two ministries will take to secure more funds within the European Union for joint projects that will enable more efficient fight against drug trafficking and ensure greater security of Serbia and Hungary.
