First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Regional Director of the International Organisation for Migration Argentina Szabados, who is visiting Serbia on the occasion of marking the 25th anniversary of work of the International Organisation for Migration in our country.
The two officials expressed their satisfaction with the successful cooperation in dealing with the challenges of migration, and pointed to the importance of the experiences gained in Serbia both in relation to the migrations of the 1990s and the migrant crisis, which has influenced the dynamics of social movements in the region for more than two years.
After the meeting, a conference was held on the occasion of the celebration of this anniversary, which was opened by Dacic.
After that, the gathered representatives of international organisations were addressed by Argentina Szabados, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi and UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia Karla Hershey.
