Suriname withdraws its decision to recognise Kosovo's independence

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that the Government of the Republic of Suriname withdrew its decision to recognise Kosovo-Metohija as an independent state, which is a historic event for our country.

At an extraordinary press conference, Dacic explained that diplomatic note from Suriname arrived during the night.
On 8 July 2016, Suriname recogniaed Kosovo's independence, he reminded and pointed out that during his mandate only five states recognised Kosovo, while one country withdrew its decision.
So far, 106 countries have recognised the independence of Kosovo, he specified.
