Strengthening economic cooperation with Russia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic spoke today with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Alexander Chepurin on the continuation of bilateral cooperation, as well as preparations for marking the 180th anniversary of the diplomatic relations of the two countries.

In the meeting, a special emphasis was placed on activities aimed at improving the economic relations between Serbia and Russia and the forthcoming meeting of the Serbian-Russian Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation.
Also, an agreement was reached on the necessity of starting preparations for marking the 180th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Russia, which will be accompanied by the organisation of a series of events in 2018, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
