Improving police cooperation with Italy

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic today met with Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manzo to discuss the police cooperation between the two countries.
Stefanovic and Manzo have noted that the police cooperate successfully and intensively, but that there is certainly room for new activities in the coming period.
Stefanovic stressed the importance of European integration of Serbia and thanked Italy for the support that it continually provides to our country.
The officials also discussed the problem of migration, with which Serbia and Italy have been facing for a long time.
Ambassador Manzo conveyed the invitation of the Italian Interior Minister to Stefanovic to attend a conference in Trieste at the end of October, in connection with the completion of a successful IPA project implemented by the interior ministries of Italy and Serbia, according to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior.
Stefanovic stressed the importance of European integration of Serbia and thanked Italy for the support that it continually provides to our country.
