Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic is in Ankara today as part of preparations for the upcoming visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Republic of Serbia.
Ljajic will meet with Turkey's Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci in Ankara to discuss the revival of the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.
Thanks to the revised text of the above-mentioned agreement, whose final harmonisation is expected at today's meeting in Ankara, the scope of goods under the free trade regime will be significantly expanded, and for the first time this agreement will be extended to the field of services.
The new Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and Turkey will be signed during the official visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Serbia on 10 and 11 October.
This will significantly contribute to the increase in the volume of goods exchange between the two countries, according to a statement by the Deputy Prime Minister' and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
