Cooperation between Serbia, China in field of security

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic met today with Secretary of the Central Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of China Meng Jianzhu and Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun.

Stefanovic stressed the importance of good cooperation in the fight against terrorism and organised crime, primarily through a faster exchange of information on potential threats, which could endanger security and safety, and stressed the importance of good cooperation of Serbia and China in combating terrorism.
He also expressed his gratitude to China for its principled stance not to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, adding that our country wants to continue to strengthen relations with China.
Stefanovic, who is on a three-day working visit to China, visited today the city of Tianjin, where he met with Mayor Wang Dongfeng and Chief of the Public Security Bureau of Tianjin Dong Gialu.
Stefanovic will attend the General Assembly of Interpol tomorrow in Beijing, according to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior.
He also expressed his gratitude to China for its principled stance not to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, adding that our country wants to continue to strengthen relations with China.
