On that occasion, Stefanovic welcomed Meng and said that it is a great honour that the Special Envoy of the President of the People's Republic of China came to visit Serbia.
He said that this will be an opportunity to discuss how to improve the security situation and the cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia.
We are well aware of your commitment in the fight against organised crime, terrorism and all other forms of endangering the security of both China and other countries of the world, Stefanovic said.
Meng thanked Stefanovic for the welcome and on careful preparation of this visit.
I am pleased to be the head of the Chinese delegation that is on a visit to your beautiful country. Immediately upon arrival, I felt your hospitality. There is a long, traditional friendship, as well as cooperation between China and Serbia. Our President, Xi Jinping, visited your country last year, while your President, Aleksandar Vucic, participated this year in the international forum in China.
Owing to a greater commitment of the two leaders, our cooperation is getting better, Meng said.
Stefanovic and Meng will meet officially today in the Palace of Serbia, according to a statement by the Ministry of the Interior.
