In a statement to the Tanjug agency, Dacic pointed out that next week after the meetings in Belgrade, including with the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, some of our staff will be returned to Skopje, while the Ambassador will return later, when all consultations are completed.
He explained that the employees of the Serbian Embassy in Macedonia were withdrawn because it is unequivocal, with clear evidence, that there is an increased offensive action against the Republic of Serbia, where a foreign factor is certainly present.
We will undertake measures to prepare for work in such an environment, the First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out, but also stressed that Serbia wants good relations with Macedonia.
Dacic added that he has already discussed this issue this morning with President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed yesterday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia about the withdrawal of all staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Skopje for consultations in Belgrade, he said.
We undoubtedly want good relations with Macedonia. We want to build good relations, because we are neighbours, because we have many common interests and because they are two close people.
But our obligation is to protect our interests, and accordingly we will apply the basic diplomatic principles in international relations, that is, the principle of reciprocity in all areas, Dacic pointed out.
