First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic sent a telegramme of condolences to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain Alfonso Dastis, on the occasion of the terrorist attack in Barcelona.
"Deeply shaken and shocked by the gruesome terrorist attack on innocent civilians in Barcelona, I send you condolences on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the government of the Republic of Serbia.
At a time when the whole world is united in the pain of lost lives, we must remain united in the fight against the evil of terrorism.
We must not let that those who do not choose the means to achieve their goals endanger all the values on which today's civilisation rests and the better the world we are seeking.
As always, Serbia will always stand in defence of these values and give its maximum contribution to the joint struggle to root out this monster.
Please convey my sympathy to the families of the victims in their pain, and we wish the injured a quick recovery," reads the telegramme of condolence by Dacic.
