First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and British Ambassador to Belgrade Denis Keefe assessed today that the relations of the two countries are good, as well as that there is readiness and interest for further continuation of cooperation, especially in the field of economics.

The importance of the continuation of high-level visits has been particularly emphaised.
The officials noted that the upgrade of the dialogue between the two countries will additionally contribute to the upcoming visit to Belgrade by Permanent Under-Secretary of Forin's Office Simon McDonald on 11-12 September, as well as a visit by the delegation of the House of Lords of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 26 to 28 September.
On this occasion, the significance of the jubilee was also emphasised – 180 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, which is marked by a series of events in both countries.
Also, at today's meeting, the officials welcomed the United Kingdom’s hosting of the Summit on the Western Balkans in 2018.
They also exchanged views on the most current events on the world political scene and the region of the Western Balkans.
