Linking regional projects with “One Belt, One Road” initiative

Belgrade, 27 July 2017

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic spoke today with Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang about future activities of the Centre for cooperation in the field of traffic and infrastructure.

Mihajlovic recalled that this centre, based in Belgrade, was established within the framework of the mechanism of cooperation between China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

According to Mihajlovic, thanks to cooperation with China, Serbia is becoming an investment centre in this part of Europe.

We have a lot of experience in the realisation of projects of European and regional importance, and at the same time we are one of the largest partners of China in the mechanism of cooperation with 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and we want to use this experience in order to develop the whole region faster, Mihajlovic said.
