Perspective of Serbia's membership in EU realistic

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic today met with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Serbia Axel Dittmann to discuss the policy of the new Serbian government and further improvement of bilateral relations with Germany.

The officials concluded that the relations between Serbia and Germany are good, characterised by cooperation in all fields, high-level dialogue and a constant trend of improvement.
They also discussed the results of the Summit on the Western Balkan countries, held on 12 July in Trieste, as well as the improvement of regional cooperation and implementation of projects implemented with the support of partners from the European Union.
In this context, Dittmann emphasised that the perspective of the Republic of Serbia's membership in the European Union is realistic and desirable.
