Serbia commended for efforts in field of traffic safety

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and President of the European Council for Traffic Safety Antonio Avenoso today agreed that the most important goal of traffic safety is to preserve human life.
Stefanovic presented Avenoso with all the activities implemented by the Ministry of the Interior in order to improve traffic safety, and at the same time stressed the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field.
Avenoso, praising the efforts made by the Ministry and the Agency for Traffic Safety to make drivers and passengers in Serbia safer, confirmed a further continuation of cooperation.
Stefanovic and Avenoso will open the international conference in Belgrade today titled "Safe&sober talk alcoholinterlocks" featuring more than 100 representatives of domestic and European institutions dealing with the improvement of traffic safety.
