After commissioning Terminal 2B and touring the expansion works on Terminal 1, worth more than RSD 1 billion, Mihajlovic emphasised that the capacity of this airport has now increased to 7.5 million passengers, which is two million more passengers.
We can be proud of the Belgrade airport, as well as of the fact that this investments are financed from the company's net income, she explained, explaining that this airport will, in addition to the existing 33 counters for passenger registration, have 33 more counters at new terminals, five of which for self-checking.
Mihajlovic emphasised that concession is important for the government of Serbia, aimed at long-term development of the Belgrade airport, and noted that the government has chosen this model in order to provide even more necessary investments.
Acting Director of Nikola Tesla Airport Sasa Vlaisavljevic said that the number of passengers in the last three years increased by 39% and the number of air operations by 25%, while the profit is about 200 times higher than in 2013.
