Development of relations with Russia in mutual interest

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin examined during today’s meeting the current issues in the bilateral relations and the activities planned for the upcoming period.

On this occasion, Chepurin presented Dacic with a letter of congratulations from Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov regarding Dacic’s appointment to the position of the first deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs.

The letter of congratulations reads:

“Dear Mr. Minister, Dear Ivica,

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to You on Your appointment to the position of the first deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

I am convinced that the Russian-Serbian ties, based on deep historical traditions and comprehensive common interests, will continue to develop dynamically in different fields to the benefit of our brotherly peoples.

I count on a further active and meaningful dialogue on a wider range of issues on the bilateral and international agenda.
